People think what they know is the ultimate truth, but they are unaware of the fact their dualistic knowledge is nothing to do with the Soul, the Self, which is the ultimate truth or Brahman.
The 'I' know attitude blocks one from realizing the 'Self' hidden by the 'I'. The seeker needs to be receptive to understand, assimilate the Self-knowledge effectively.
The seeker has to have patience and humility and allow a Gnani to speak freely express himself about the Self-Knowledge, without hindrance or interruption. In return, the seeker will receive free expression and, then, try to grasp what he is saying.
The seeker should not be a judge on the base of his accumulated knowledge and simply argue on his own point of view. The seeker has to accept only nondualistic views if he finds them uncontradictable truth.
The seeker has to verify the validity of all claims by using his own reason. The seeker has to get all the doubts cleared by questioning patiently and point out all the doubts and confusion with humility.
The argument is the greatest obstacle in the pursuit of truth, therefore never indulges in arguments.
Discussion with humility is the way towards the ultimate truth. This will enable him to provide the understanding and to see the fellow seekers' perspective that is not to say that, he has to agree to their point of view, however, it will offer or enable one to consider another option. And it helps the seeker to think deeper when he is not satisfied with the answers and find the answer on his own reasoning, till uncontradictable answer is found.
If one can truly understand “what is Mind”? “What is the substance of the mind?” it would lead to resolving a lot of perhaps unnecessary trouble, and conflict.
If we look closely at the nature of the mind, what it is really, how it has come into being, and what constitutes it, it will become clear of the fact that the mind is merely an illusion; the formless substance of the mind, which is the spirit, is real and eternal.
Remember:~
The seeker should always think of the Soul, the Self, which is hidden by the dualistic illusion or Maya. The dualistic illusion is present in the form of the ‘I’.
Remembering the Soul, the Self through reading the words of wisdom even if one does not understand what he reads it will be absorbed subconsciously, and it is very important for the seeker because whatever he reads in my blogs and posting will help the seeker as autosuggestion.
Remember this again and again:~ You and the world in which you exist is the dualistic illusion or Maya. Whatever belongs to you is a reality within the dualistic illusion or Maya.
The universe itself is an illusion on the other. The Soul, the Self, is the ultimate reality. The Soul, the Self is present in the form of consciousness is infinite, the universe is merely an illusion created out of consciousness.
The dualistic illusion or Maya is present in the form of the ‘I’. The ‘I’ is present in the form of form, time, and space. The form, time and space are present in the form of the universe. The universe appears as waking or dream (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (nonduality).
The universe, which is the dualistic illusion or Maya, is created out of the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness. When the Self is not you but the Soul, what is the use of identifying the Self as you.
Remember: ~
The Self is not you. You are not eternal because you are bound by the experience of the birth, life, death, and world. The Soul, the Self, is eternal. The Soul is birthless and deathless because it is ever formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.
It is foolish to say I AM THIS or I AM THAT’ because the ‘Self ‘is not ‘I’. The ‘Self is the Soul, which witnesses the ‘I’.
That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say ‘I’," if you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, you are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.
Even after knowing the ‘Self’ is not ‘I’ people are stuck to ‘I-centric teaching and Gurus. Those who are stuck with ‘I’ or ‘I AM’ will never be able to get rid of ignorance. : ~Santthosh Kumaar
